Croft Silver

Chester FabricF4851-06

Croft Silver reads as a softly weathered silver taupe, with a fine vertical texture that gives the cloth gentle movement. The finish is understated and calm, letting the woven surface do the talking.

About this fabric

This Chester fabric by Colefax and Fowler is a 143cm-wide textile with no repeat, which suits its clean, uninterrupted strié effect. The blend of 44% cotton, 28% linen, 14% wool, 13% polyester and 1% polyamide gives the surface a dry, grounded handle that still feels composed. In Croft Silver, the colour sits between pale grey and warm taupe, with a muted sheen that catches the light softly rather than brightly. The overall impression is cool-neutral and tailored, making the weave look crisp without appearing harsh. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Croft Silver on a slim-lined sofa, dining chair or headboard where its soft taupe-silver tone can sit quietly beside oak, limestone and black accents. It also works well at the window when you want a restrained neutral that still has enough texture to hold the light.

A quiet neutral for tailored upholstery or soft drapery, with a refined matte texture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
