Hampden Blue

Chester FabricF4852-03

Hampden Blue presents the Chester design in a quietly faded sage-blue tone, with narrow vertical stripes that read crisp but gentle. The small repeating leaf-like motif gives the cloth a tailored, orderly rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in a 145cm width and composed of 35% Linen, 28% Viscose, 20% Polyester and 17% Cotton, this fabric has a balanced handle that suits both upholstery and drapery. The repeat measures approximately V 3cm and H 5cm, creating a neat vertical cadence that is especially clear in this pale blue-green colourway. From the swatch, the ground looks softly weathered and cool, while the raised pattern catches the light in a lighter chalked tone for subtle contrast. The result is a refined stripe with a leafy, embroidered feel rather than a bold graphic statement. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are noted for this cloth.

How to use it

Use Hampden Blue on a compact armchair, window seat or Roman blind where the small repeat can show its ordered character. Its muted blue-green shade sits well with limestone, faded oak and quiet white-painted joinery.

Pair with pale oak and chalky neutrals to keep the leafy stripe feeling fresh and tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
