Alvita Old Blue

Chilgrove FabricF4882-02

Alvita in Old Blue shows the Chilgrove design in a soft, faded blue palette with fresh green and pale neutral embroidery-like detail. The large scrolling motif feels airy rather than heavy, thanks to the light ground and delicate shading.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a quiet, chalky blue with hints of sage, duck egg and warm beige worked through the pattern, so the design feels gently aged rather than vivid. The large repeat measures approximately V 76cm / H 128cm and sits across a generous 128cm width, giving the sweeping arches and trailing floral forms room to breathe. Its 33% Cotton, 30% Linen, 29% Viscose and 8% Polyester composition suggests a softly structured cloth with a natural-looking surface and a little added stability. With no performance features noted and fire code √BM, it is best considered a decorative furnishing fabric with a refined, relaxed finish.

How to use it

Use Old Blue on curtains, a headboard or upholstered occasional seating where the pale ground can lift the room. It works especially well with bleached timber, putty neutrals and deeper navy accents for contrast.

A pale blue palette that keeps the ornate motif airy and easy to live with.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
