Calyon Blue

Calyon Blue is a softly mottled blue fabric with a fine, closely woven surface that gives it a calm, tailored look. The tiny weave reads crisp and refined rather than bold, with a cool grey-blue cast across the swatch.

About this fabric

This colourway has a restrained blue tone that sits between denim and slate, with lighter yarns lifting the surface and preventing it from feeling flat. The fabric is woven in a compact, small-scale texture that gives visible depth and a slightly nubbly handle. At approximately 140cm wide and composed of 43% Cotton, 40% Viscose, 11% Polyester and 6% Linen, it offers a balanced cloth that can work across upholstery and drapery. The repeat is straight zero repeat both vertically and horizontally, which supports a clean, uninterrupted finish. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this muted blue as a grounding colour with pale oak, chalk white or brushed nickel for a clean, contemporary scheme. Its subtle texture also makes it a good partner for plain linens, understated stripes and softly patterned cushions.

A cool, quietly textured blue that suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
