Mali Ocean

Mali FabricJ944F-33

Mali Ocean reads as a rich, inky blue-green with a softly brushed, textural surface. Its mood is deep and composed, with just enough variation in the weave to keep the colour alive.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric has a calm, almost matte finish that gives the dark ocean tone a layered, slightly weathered look. The composition is 65% polyester and 35% cotton, with an approximate width of 142cm and a straight repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm, making it straightforward to work into a scheme. The visible surface has fine linear striations and subtle tonal shifts, so the colour feels more like deep teal water than a flat navy. It is a textile with a smart, versatile character rather than a glossy decorative finish.

How to use it

Use Mali Ocean on a sofa, banquette or pair of curtains where you want a grounded, moody colour without harsh contrast. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brass details for a sharp but settled scheme.

A dark, atmospheric blue-green that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
