Calyon Red

Lucas FabricJ855F-04

Calyon Red is a richly woven plain with a fine, peppered texture that softens its red tone. The close weave gives the surface a calm, tailored look rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a deep, muted red with warm berry and brick undertones, broken up by tiny lighter specks that give the cloth depth. The repeat is vertical 0cm / horizontal 0cm approx, so the emphasis is on the weave and colour rather than a recurring motif. At approximately 140cm wide, and woven in 43% Cotton, 40% Viscose, 11% Polyester and 6% Linen, it has the balanced handle of a decorative furnishing fabric. The mix of fibres adds a softly tactile finish with a subtle sheen from the viscose, while the linen keeps the surface looking natural. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this red to bring warmth to an upholstered armchair, dining chair or blind where you want colour without a glossy finish. It pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and quiet neutrals that let the depth of the red stand out.

A warm red with a subtle peppered texture that works well across upholstery and relaxed drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
