Alvita Red

Chilgrove FabricF4882-01

Alvita Red shows the Chilgrove design on a warm coral-red ground, with a dense scattering of stylised floral and tassel motifs in soft, multicoloured thread effects. The pattern feels lively but refined, with the lighter detailing standing out crisply against the red backdrop.

About this fabric

This colourway uses a vibrant coral-red ground that gives the design warmth and clarity rather than a deep, wine-like heaviness. The embroidered-look motifs read in cream, teal, sage, mustard and soft blush tones, creating a layered surface with plenty of movement. With a repeat of approximately V 76cm / H 128cm and a width of approximately 128cm, the fabric has a broad, decorative scale that suits confident schemes. Its composition of 33% Cotton, 30% Linen, 29% Viscose and 8% Polyester suggests a usable cloth with a natural handle and a subtle softness to the finish.

How to use it

Pair Alvita Red with pale painted woodwork, warm neutrals or aged brass to balance the colour intensity. It works especially well where you want a lively feature fabric that still feels tailored and elegant.

Use it for statement curtains or upholstered pieces where the lively multicolour embroidery can sing against the coral ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
