Orange Aurora

This shade reads as a warm, saturated coral-red rather than a blue-red or a burnt orange, so it brings energy without looking heavy. In north-facing light it can turn slightly sharper and more pink, holding its brightness but losing a little of its warmth; in south-facing rooms it feels fuller, softer and more orange. It reflects enough light to stay cheerful, but it still has enough depth to anchor a room, especially beside natural wood, lacquered timber or pale painted joinery. It sits well next to linen, velvet and patterned upholstery in cream, taupe, terracotta or softened green tones, where its red-pink base can echo details without overpowering them.

Use Orange Aurora in a sitting room, dining room or hallway where you want the walls to do some of the work. It pairs well with walnut, oak and painted woodwork in warm white, as well as upholstery in muted neutrals, deep green or plum.
