Atomic Red

At #BD2520, Atomic Red reads as a saturated tomato-red with a slight orange warmth, so it feels active without tipping into burgundy or terracotta. It reflects a little light back into a room, but it is still a dense colour that will make walls feel closer and more intimate than a pale red. In north-facing light it can look deeper and a touch cooler, bringing out a firmer, slightly earthy edge. In south-facing rooms the warmth comes forward and the colour looks brighter, cleaner and more animated. It sits well beside natural oak, dark stained woodwork, brass, cream linen and patterned upholstery with warm neutrals or muted blues.
