Little Greene

Tuscan Red

Reds and Pinks Paint

Tuscan Red is a grounded red-brown with a clay-like warmth, darker and quieter than a bright terracotta. It sits within Little Greene’s Reds and Pinks range, but reads here as an earthy, зрелый red with an understated edge.

About this colour

At #874535, Tuscan Red takes on a rich brick-red character with a strong brown base, so it absorbs light rather than bouncing it around the room. In north-facing light it can appear deeper and slightly more muted, with the brown coming forward; in south-facing rooms the red notes warm up and the colour feels fuller and more inviting. On walls it gives a room substance without shouting, and beside pale oak, walnut, tobacco leather, or linen in natural neutrals it feels considered and settled. It also works well on woodwork where you want a darker, more enclosed line against cream, putty, or soft chalky pinks.

How to use it

Tuscan Red suits dining rooms, studies, and boot rooms where a deeper red-brown can hold its own against darker timber and patterned upholstery. It pairs neatly with warm woods, aged brass, oatmeal curtains, and woven upholstery in taupe, russet, or faded rose tones.

This colour reads as a warm, earthy red-brown on the wall.
