About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is a 78% polyester, 22% cotton blend, 140cm wide, with a 32cm vertical repeat and 35.5cm horizontal repeat. The weave has a firm, woven look that suits upholstery well, while the check pattern gives clear structure and visual rhythm. In this colourway, the red is strong and saturated, softened by biscuit-beige crossings and darker brown threads that add depth. The result is a warm, traditional tartan that feels more tailored than rustic, with enough body to hold its pattern clearly on larger pieces.

How to use it

Use Balmoral FR Red on an armchair, bench seat or dining chairs to bring a strong country-house accent into a room. It also works well with oak, leather and cream paintwork, where the red can stand out without feeling overly bright.
