About this fabric

This colourway combines saturated ruby red blocks with cooler blue bands, softened by muted gold and olive-green checks for a traditional tartan effect. The surface reads as a woven fabric rather than a printed pattern, with a slightly napped texture that diffuses the colour and keeps the check from looking flat. At 140cm wide, the cloth is a practical upholstery width, and the 32cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal repeat gives the design a substantial, easy-to-read scale. The 78% polyester and 22% cotton composition suggests a durable everyday fabric with a comfortable handle, while the BQV1< care instruction should be followed as supplied.

How to use it

This ruby check works well on an armchair, banquette or blind where its red ground can anchor a room with timber, leather and darker painted finishes. Pair it with plain natural linens or deep navy to let the blue and gold crossing lines stand out.

Use for a country-led statement chair or cushion pairing with worn oak and navy accents.
