Portree Stain Resistant FabricF8092

Taransay has a rich rust-red surface with a lively, nubby tweed effect that catches the light across the weave. The colourway reads warm and earthy, with flecks of terracotta, burgundy and muted grey threaded through the cloth.

About this fabric

Taransay (F8092) from Osborne & Little’s Portree Stain Resistant collection is a substantial fabric at 474gsm, with a dense textured weave that suits upholstery use. Its 140cm width gives good coverage for seating projects, and the 62,500 rub test supports hard-wearing domestic use. The blend of 50% rPP, 35% PC and 15% rPET gives the fabric a tactile, recycled-content character, while the stain-resistant finish adds practical appeal. In this colourway, the surface feels warm and antique rather than bright, with a broken rust-red ground enlivened by small contrasting flecks that add depth.

How to use it

Use this rust-red weave on an armchair, ottoman or banquette where its texture can soften cleaner-lined furniture. It works especially well with oak, aged brass and oatmeal linens for a layered, grounded palette.

Pair with warm woods and soft neutrals to let the textured rust-red weave do the work.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
