About this fabric

Deep barbed-berry red forms the ground, while repeated artichoke-like heads are picked out in smoky taupe, muted rose, dark blue-green and small cream highlights. Fine curling stems and leaves fill the gaps, giving the 32 cm vertical by 68 cm horizontal repeat a richly layered, tapestry-like rhythm. At 416 gsm and 57.7 threads per cm, this velvet has a substantial, visually dense presence; the pile catches the light subtly across the dark red field. The usable width is 136.5 cm, with a supplied standard length of 60 m, and no performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this deep berry velvet on a statement armchair, ottoman or sofa where its dark red ground can anchor the room. Echo the pattern’s blue-green leaves with painted cabinetry or cushions, and keep surrounding fabrics quieter so the scrolling botanical detail remains prominent.
