About this fabric

This colourway in Dante Velvet reads as a saturated tomato red, warmer and more earthy than a cherry or pillarbox tone, with darker shading that settles into the pile. The velvet surface has the plush, tactile look you expect from 100% cotton velvet, and the colour shifts subtly as the light moves across it. With a width of approximately 140cm and no vertical or horizontal repeat, it is straightforward to cut for tailored upholstery and clean-lined furnishing projects. The bold red tone feels rich and enveloping, making it especially effective where you want depth and presence rather than brightness alone.

How to use it

Use this tomato red velvet to energise an ottoman, armchair or banquette, where the warm depth can anchor lighter linens and woods. It also works well as full-length curtains in a room with dark timber or brass accents, where the pile will read especially rich.
