About this fabric

Tilney Stripe Red is a striped fabric with a crisp vertical repeat of approximately V 8cm / H 14cm, giving the design a steady, tailored feel. The swatch shows a warm red ground softened by pale pink and cream-toned striping, so the overall effect is lively but not loud. Its cotton-rich composition of 54% Cotton, 18% Acrylic, 16% Viscose, 6% Linen, 3% Polyamide and 3% Polyester gives the surface a gently slubbed, lightly tactile look. At approximately 142cm wide, it is a practical width for a range of interior applications, and the √BM fire code is also supplied for the fabric.

How to use it

This colourway works well where you want colour with restraint: pair it with pale painted wood, aged brass, or warm neutrals so the red reads soft rather than overpowering. The narrow stripe and muted coral tone make it especially effective on upholstered chairs, cushions, or full-length curtains in a traditional scheme.

A smart striped red with enough texture to suit both elegant upholstery and tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
