Eaton Check Dark Red

Eaton Checks and Stripes FabricF1001-01

Eaton Check Dark Red shows a crisp gingham-style check in saturated red, softened by pale cream and muted blush squares. The linen-rich weave gives the surface a relaxed, slightly dry handle that still reads neatly across the repeat.

About this fabric

Woven in 82% viscose and 18% linen, this fabric combines a smooth, lightly lustrous red with the more matte character of the lighter squares. The check repeats at approximately 12cm vertically and horizontally, creating a balanced grid that feels orderly without looking stiff. In this colourway, the red is warm and confident rather than bright, with the cream blocks lifting the pattern and the pinkish notes adding depth. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a practical width for both upholstery and curtains, and the Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire rating are useful specification details for domestic schemes.

How to use it

The dark red tone works well with oak, painted timber and country-house neutrals, where the check can add structure and warmth. It also makes an attractive blind or chair cover when paired with soft cream walls and heritage brass details.

Use it for tailored upholstery or lined curtains to bring a classic country feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
