Tilney Stripe Tomato/Olive

Denbury FabricF4864-05

Tilney Stripe Tomato/Olive is a classic striped fabric with a crisp vertical rhythm and a warm, tailored feel. The tomato red bands sit against an olive-toned ground, giving the design a confident but usable contrast.

About this fabric

From the Denbury collection by Colefax and Fowler, Tilney Stripe Tomato/Olive is a fabric with a 142cm approximate width and a repeat of 8cm vertical by 14cm horizontal. The composition is 54% Cotton, 18% Acrylic, 16% Viscose, 6% Linen, 3% Polyamide, and 3% Polyester, which gives the cloth a familiar woven handle with a slightly textured surface. In this colourway, the tomato stripe reads warm and saturated while the olive note softens the overall effect, so the pattern feels orderly rather than loud. The fine woven ground between the stripes adds a subtle dry texture that suits this smart, heritage-leaning look. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for reference.

How to use it

This colourway works well on a small sofa, dining chairs, or roman blinds where the stripe can add structure without feeling heavy. Pair the tomato and olive tones with aged wood, brass, and warm neutrals to keep the scheme grounded.

Use it for tailored upholstery or lined curtains where the warm stripe can bring structure and colour.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
