About this fabric

The cloth has a dense, plain-looking weave in a deep damson shade, where burgundy red is softened by a plum-purple cast. Fine vertical yarn lines and subtle tonal variation give the surface a quietly striated texture rather than a visible printed motif. At 509 gsm and 139 cm usable width, it has the substantial presence suited to upholstery applications. With a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without matching a design. The dark colour gains depth as the woven surface catches the light, shifting gently between wine red and muted plum.

How to use it

Use Moray Damson on a tailored sofa, armchair or dining seat where its cool wine-dark tone can anchor softer neutrals, aged timber and warm metallic accents. The absence of a pattern repeat also suits clean, uninterrupted upholstered panels.

Use this weighty damson weave to bring rich, wine-dark depth to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
