About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke fabric has a substantial 509 gsm weight, supporting its classification as an upholstery cloth. The surface is plain in design, with no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, while the weave creates delicate striations and small tonal shifts across the antique-gold colourway. Its 139 cm usable width offers a broad working surface for upholstered pieces. The warm beige-gold cast becomes softer in lighter areas of the weave, avoiding a flat block of colour.

How to use it

Pair Moray Antique with dark timber, aged brass and warm ivory textiles to draw out its honeyed undertone. On a chair, headboard or sofa, its quiet texture can bring depth to a room without competing with patterned furnishings.

Use this weighty antique-gold weave on seating where its subtle crosshatch texture can add warmth without introducing a motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
