About this fabric
The plain surface has a fine, velvety-looking texture rather than a visible motif or repeat, giving this colourway its depth through gentle changes in sheen. Its rich raspberry tone reads warm and dramatic, with darker burgundy areas appearing where the surface catches less light. At 300gsm and 144cm usable width, it is a practical scale for upholstery projects. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0cm, so the fabric can be handled as a non-directional plain.
How to use it
Use Alvar Raspberry to give an armchair, sofa or headboard a jewel-toned focal point, particularly against warm neutrals, smoked timber or antique brass. Its deep berry saturation also works well as a more atmospheric alternative to burgundy in a layered scheme.
