About this fabric
This Clarke & Clarke fabric weighs 360gsm and has a 140cm usable width, giving the cloth a substantial presence suited to upholstered furniture. Small, closely packed woven loops or ovals form the visible texture, with darker threads punctuating the red ground and catching the light subtly. The pattern repeat measures 28cm vertically by 35cm horizontally, although the compact motif reads primarily as an all-over textural surface from a distance. With 24 threads per centimetre and a standard length of 35m, Castus Spice offers a dense, consistent weave for coordinating upholstery schemes.
How to use it
Use Castus Spice on a statement armchair, dining chair or sofa where its warm, dark red tone can act as the room’s grounding colour. Pair it with walnut, aged brass, charcoal and softly contrasting warm neutrals to draw out the weave’s depth.
