Alvar Royal Blue is a deep, cool blue plain fabric with a softly mottled surface and no visible repeating motif. Its dark tone reads almost ink-like in the shadowed areas, while subtle shifts in the surface prevent it from appearing flat.

About this fabric
The colour has a saturated royal-blue depth, tempered by cloudy tonal variation that gives the cloth a softly brushed appearance. With a weight of 300gsm, it has enough visual substance for upholstery while remaining suitable for drapery. The 144cm usable width and zero-centimetre horizontal and vertical pattern repeats make it straightforward to cut as a plain cloth. A standard length of 35m is supplied for larger furnishing schemes.
How to use it
Use this cool, inky blue on a tailored armchair, sofa or headboard to create a strong focal point, or carry it through full-length curtains for a darker, enveloping effect. Pair it with warm timber and pale neutrals to bring out the blue’s depth without losing its clean, smart character.
