About this fabric

This colourway of Ellerdine combines amaranth red, sienna, teal-blue and antique gold motifs on a soft ivory ground, so the pattern reads bright but not harsh. The circular floral medallions and diagonal sprigs sit in a regular lattice, creating a decorative look with plenty of movement across the width. Woven in 58% linen, 28% polyester and 14% acrylic, it has the character of a fabric rather than a print-only effect, with enough structure for confident use. The approx. 39cm vertical and 64cm horizontal repeat is substantial, so the pattern will show clearly on larger pieces and across longer drops. With a width of approx. 128cm, it is well suited to upholstery or curtaining where the full scale of the motif can be appreciated.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, bench or lined curtains where the red and sienna tones can sit against plaster, oak or painted wood. The ivory ground keeps the palette open, while the teal notes add enough contrast to stop the scheme feeling too warm.

A warm, decorative choice that suits both statement upholstery and lined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
