About this fabric

This Ellerdine fabric is woven in a 58% Linen, 28% Polyester, 14% Acrylic blend, giving the cloth a natural-looking body with a practical finish. The design shows repeating circular floral emblems set within diamond-shaped vine motifs, all picked out in amaranth red, leafy green, soft pink and touches of teal on an ivory base. At approximately 128cm wide with a vertical repeat of 39cm and horizontal repeat of 64cm, it is well suited to upholstery or drapery uses where the pattern can be shown to advantage. The overall effect is fresh but not bright, with the red notes giving warmth while the green keeps the pattern grounded and slightly traditional. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code Z are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

This colourway works beautifully with painted wood, linen upholstery and brass or aged gilt accents, where its red-and-green palette feels collected rather than overly formal. Use it on a pair of armchairs, a slipper chair or full-length curtains to bring pattern and gentle colour into a neutral scheme.

Use with warm neutrals and aged wood to let the red and green palette feel refined rather than busy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
