Belvedere Tomato/Olive

Ellerdine FabricF4717-06

Belvedere Tomato/Olive shows a painterly botanical pattern on a soft cream ground, with twisting branches, rounded flowers and fluttering leaves in tomato red, olive and faded gold. The overall effect is warm, decorative and gently traditional.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this fabric has a natural, lightly textured handle that suits the relaxed movement of drapery. The design repeats at approximately V 81cm / H 134cm on a width of about 134cm, so the large-scale pattern has room to breathe across fuller window treatments. In this colourway, the tomato accents read as muted brick-red rather than bright scarlet, while the olive and sage leaves soften the scheme and keep the cream ground feeling airy. It has an accomplished, country-house mood that feels detailed without becoming heavy.

How to use it

Use it for lined curtains, Roman blinds or a decorative pelmet where the tomato and olive palette can sit against painted woodwork or muted wall colours. It works especially well with warm whites, faded greens and aged brass finishes.

Use as elegant curtains or a statement blind to let the warm red and olive detailing stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Belvedere Tomato/Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
