Fen Plaid Tomato
Fen Wools FabricF4636-04
Fen Plaid Tomato is a warm, checked wool blend with a soft tomato-red ground and slender pale lines forming a neat tartan-style grid. The finish reads dry and slightly nubby, giving the colour a tailored, country-house feel.

About this fabric
This Fen Wools fabric combines 40% Wool, 20% Cotton, 18% Viscose, 16% Linen and 6% Polyester, giving the cloth a natural, lightly textured handle with a crisp checked appearance. The plaid is set on a warm tomato base, lifted by fine pale green and cream lines that create a clear 15cm by 15cm repeat across the 138cm width. In the image, the colour feels sun-warmed rather than sharp red, with the weave softening the contrast so the grid sits calmly on the surface. It is a versatile textile for loose upholstery or structured curtains where a classic checked pattern is wanted without heaviness. Fire code √BM and care code Q 8 + T 3 are supplied for this exact cloth.
How to use it
Use this colourway on an armchair, window seat or relaxed curtain where the tomato ground can warm oak, wicker and aged brass. It also works well with sage, chalk and russet tones, letting the pale checks add a tidy, traditional rhythm.
The warm tomato ground and pale checks make it easy to pair with oak, linen and muted green accents.

Pairs well with
Fen Plaid Tomato is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
