About this fabric

Woven in 100% wool, Hutton Plaid Sand has a natural, slightly brushed texture that suits the fabric’s soft-focus check. The repeat is approximately V 30cm by H 27cm, giving the plaid a measured, classic scale that reads clearly without feeling bold. Its warm sand ground is lifted by understated grey and dusky red-green striping, so the design feels mellow rather than sharp. At approximately 146cm wide, it is a practical cloth for furnishing schemes that need a dependable neutral with pattern interest. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BH fire code make it a specification-led choice for interiors where both appearance and usability matter.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a loose armchair, banquette or Roman blinds where the sandy ground will keep a room feeling light. It pairs especially well with oak, painted cream joinery and other weathered neutrals.

A soft neutral check that brings warmth and easy country character to upholstered pieces or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
