About this fabric

Woven in 100% wool, this fabric has the reassuring body and texture expected of a classic upholstery cloth. The plaid is set on a deep red ground with sand-coloured pinstripes, tempered by earthy brown and green bands that stop the design feeling too bright. Its approximate 30cm vertical and 27cm horizontal repeat creates a generous, traditional check that reads clearly across larger pieces. At 146cm wide, it is well suited to tailored seating, cushions and other decorative soft furnishings where the pattern can breathe. The overall effect is warm, heritage-led and slightly rustic rather than crisp or formal.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, ottoman or window seat to bring instant country-house warmth to a room. It works especially well with aged oak, leather and natural linens, where the red and sand tones feel grounded and inviting.

Pair with warm timber and muted checks for a classic country feel.
