Mirabelle Red

Mirabelle Red brings a warm coral-red ground to the Ellerdine floral, with pale blossom motifs and leafy stems creating a busy, romantic surface. The palette feels softened rather than bright, with cream and muted green details lifting the design.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is composed of 38% Linen, 26% Viscose, 25% Cotton and 11% Polyester, giving the print a cloth-like body that sits comfortably between upholstery and drapery use. The repeat is approximately V 75cm / H 42cm, which suits the orderly, all-over floral arrangement visible in the swatch. The red ground reads as a warm coral with a slightly sun-faded softness, while the ivory flower heads and sage-green leaves add contrast without hardening the look. Its medium-weight appearance and 128cm approximate width make it a practical decorative textile for curtains, cushions or accent seating. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are noted for the specification.

How to use it

Use this shade to bring warmth to a country drawing room, pairing it with cream paint, aged oak and muted botanical accents. It also works well as a statement chair fabric beside quieter plains that echo the soft green and ivory in the pattern.

Pair with quiet linens and pale wood to let the coral ground and soft cream florals stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mirabelle Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
