About this fabric

This Ellerdine fabric is woven in 100% linen and has an approximate width of 138cm with a vertical repeat of 70cm and horizontal repeat of 138cm. In this colourway the pattern reads light and airy rather than bold: the green leaves are softened to sage and olive, while the flowers carry washes of pink, shell and pale lilac with only a gentle hint of red at the edges. The linen surface gives the print a relaxed, natural character, so the colours sit into the cloth rather than appearing glossy or sharp. It would suit curtains, loose covers or upholstery pieces where a mid-scale floral can be seen clearly.

How to use it

Use it in a country sitting room or bedroom where its muted green ground tones can sit happily with painted timber, cream walls and vintage-style wood finishes. The faded pinks and lilacs work especially well with weathered oak, rattan and simple trims.

Pair it with pale woods and brushed brass to keep the soft garden palette fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
