Montilly Blue/Forest

Ellerdine FabricF4953-03

Montilly Blue/Forest shows a misty floral pattern with layered blooms, foliage and seed heads in cool blue, green and cream tones. The whole design reads softly faded rather than bright, giving the print a calm, airy character.

About this fabric

Printed on 100% linen, this fabric has an approximate width of 138cm and a large repeat of V 70cm / H 138cm, which suits statement curtains as well as decorative upholstery. The surface in this colourway is a washed blue-green, with pale cream ground showing through to keep the pattern light and breathable. Bluish petals, sage leaves and forest-tinted outlines sit together in a gently aged palette that feels fresher than traditional green but less crisp than a clear sky blue. The result is a romantic, painterly fabric with enough presence for structured cushions, occasional chairs or full-length drapery.

How to use it

Use it where you want a soft but patterned focal point: on relaxed curtains, a chaise or cushions against painted woodwork. It sits especially well with chalk white, pale oak and muted blue-green accents.

Pair with pale timber and muted neutrals for a fresh, quietly refined scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
