Hutton Plaid Tomato/Teal
Fen Wools FabricF4629-05
Hutton Plaid Tomato/Teal pairs a soft, brushed wool handle with a classic checked layout that reads immediately warm and lived-in. The cream ground keeps the pattern light, while the tomato red and teal lines give it a fresh country feel.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% wool, this Fen Wools fabric has a natural softness that suits both upholstery and drapery, with a repeat of approximately V 30cm and H 27cm and a width of approximately 146cm. In this colourway the plaid feels gently weathered rather than bright, with tomato red crosses, muted teal accents and a pale cream background that softens the whole design. The overlaid checks create a tidy rhythm without looking severe, and the wool texture gives the surface a matte, slightly heathered finish. It is an easy fabric to use when you want pattern and colour, but still prefer a calm, country-leaning result.
How to use it
Use it on a pair of armchairs or a tailored blind where the tomato and teal can read against painted wood and natural timbers. It also works well in a relaxed sitting room with linen, oak and off-white upholstery around it.
A warm tartan-style wool that brings easy country character to seating or curtains.

Pairs well with
Hutton Plaid Tomato/Teal is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
