Clement Red

Ellerdine FabricF4941-03

Clement Red pairs a warm coral-red ground with an all-over trailing leaf motif in soft cream and olive green. The print feels lively but balanced, with the pale leaves sitting crisply against the saturated background.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a clear coral-red base rather than a deep crimson, so the design reads bright, warm and slightly sunlit. The trailing botanical motif is outlined in olive green with pale cream leaves, giving the surface a fresh contrast that softens the red. Woven in a 55% linen, 29% acrylic and 16% polyester composition, it has the natural look expected of linen but with a little more body for practical use. The fabric is approximately 132cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 49cm and a horizontal repeat of 44cm, which suits the regular climbing rhythm of the pattern. Care code Q 8 9 T 3 and fire code K are supplied for reference.

How to use it

Use it on a pair of statement curtains or a relaxed armchair where the coral tone can lift a neutral room. It also works well with warm woods, cream paintwork and muted greens that echo the leaf detail.

The coral-red ground and creamy leaf tracery give this pattern a fresh, tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
