Clement Old Blue

Ellerdine FabricF4941-01

Clement Old Blue shows a delicate trailing leaf motif in warm ivory and ochre against a muted, airy blue ground. The overall effect is crisp but gentle, with the pattern reading clearly without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

This colourway pairs a pale old blue background with slim branching stems in warm tan and small white leaf forms, giving the design a fresh, lightly vintage feel. The fabric is woven in a 55% Linen, 29% Acrylic, 16% Polyester composition, with an approximate width of 132cm and a repeat of V 49cm / H 44cm, so the trail has a substantial but orderly rhythm across the cloth. The visible texture looks softly woven rather than glossy, which suits the calm, tailored character of the print. With care code Q 8 9 T 3 and fire code K, it is a practical decorative textile as well as a pretty one.

How to use it

Use this soft old blue to bring a cool, refined note to curtains, blind facings or occasional upholstery. It works especially well with pale oak, chalk white and muted brass for a restrained, classic scheme.

A cool, quiet blue that feels fresh and tailored with natural texture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
