Oni Cinnabar

Amara FabricCCF0165-02

Oni Cinnabar brings a warm, russet-brown ground to a tightly repeated stepped geometric weave. Fine tan lines frame small olive-green centres, giving the swatch a layered, tactile appearance rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The colour reads as a muted cinnabar-russet, lifted by sandy tan lines and punctuated with olive-green inset squares. Its close-set stepped motifs create a measured architectural rhythm, while the visible yarn variation gives the surface a softly textured finish. At 511 gsm and 142 cm wide, it has the visual and physical substance for upholstery. The pattern repeats every 11.3 cm vertically and 11.8 cm horizontally, with a standard 40 m length for planning larger schemes.

How to use it

Use this warm rust colourway on an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard, then draw out its olive-green centres with accents in moss, aged brass or natural timber. Sandy tan cushions will soften the geometric pattern without losing its structured character.

Use its warm rust depth on an upholstered chair or sofa, balancing the olive accents with aged timber and quiet tan textiles.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Oni Cinnabar without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
