About this fabric

At 421 gsm, this substantial fabric has the visual weight and dense woven handle expected of an upholstery cloth. The charcoal ground reads almost black in the deepest areas, while the softly broken ivory motifs catch the light against it without becoming stark. Its small pattern repeats every 15.8 cm vertically and 22.5 cm horizontally, creating an evenly distributed rhythm across the surface. Supplied in a standard 40 m length with a 135 cm usable width, Nala Charcoal offers practical coverage for coordinated upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Nala Charcoal on a contemporary armchair, sofa or dining seat where its cool dark ground can anchor pale timber, brushed metal and warm ivory accents. Keep surrounding textiles restrained so the scattered cream motifs remain the defining detail.

The deep charcoal ground and scattered ivory bow-tie motifs bring graphic contrast to upholstered seating and occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
