About this fabric

This 300gsm fabric has a smooth, finely textured appearance in a deep nutmeg brown, with softly lighter and darker areas visible across the surface rather than a printed motif. It is plain, with a 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal pattern repeat, making the colour and understated surface the focus. The 144cm usable width gives useful coverage for both upholstery and drapery, while the 35m standard length supports larger-scale projects. Its warm, grounded tone brings more depth than a conventional tan without becoming a bright orange or red.

How to use it

Pair Alvar Nutmeg with oat, camel, aged timber and warm ivory for a layered, earthy room, or use it as a rich counterpoint to charcoal and deep olive. Its plain surface is well suited to sofas, occasional chairs, cushions and full-length curtains where the terracotta-brown shade can anchor the scheme.
