About this fabric
The 300 gsm fabric has a smooth, softly brushed-looking face, with fine tonal variation visible across the warm taupe ground. It is supplied at a 144 cm usable width and a standard 35 m length, making it practical for larger furnishing schemes. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, confirming the completely plain layout. The muted brown-grey colouring keeps the overall effect smart while the subtle surface variation prevents it from appearing stark.
How to use it
Use Alvar Oak on a tailored armchair, sofa or relaxed curtain scheme where its warm mushroom tone can soften darker timber and sit comfortably with oatmeal, stone and deep brown accents. Its plain, low-contrast surface also works well as a calm coordinating textile beside stronger patterns.
