Romer Taupe

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1ROMER

Romer Taupe shows a softly raised small-scale damask pattern in a muted mushroom-taupe ground. The surface reads refined and quietly textured, with the motif catching the light just enough to give the design depth.

About this fabric

Part of Essential Weaves Vol 1 by Ashley Wilde, Romer Taupe is a 100% polyester fabric sold for drapes only, with a width of 140cm and a 24cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat. The damask motif is finely worked and small in scale, creating an orderly woven effect rather than a bold decorative statement. In this colourway, the taupe tone sits between warm beige and soft grey, giving the fabric a grounded, versatile look. At 336 grams per linear metre and 240 grams per square metre, it has enough substance to hang neatly while still reading as a decorative drapery cloth.

How to use it

Use Romer Taupe for tailored curtains, Roman blinds, or layered window treatments where a calm neutral is needed. Its warm taupe depth pairs well with oak, stone, linen and brushed metal finishes.

A subtle taupe weave that adds texture without overwhelming a calm scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
