Coborn Heather is a quietly textured neutral with a soft heathered taupe appearance and a finely woven surface. The small-scale weave gives it a calm, understated look that feels tailored rather than decorative.

About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2 collection, Coborn Heather is a fabric made from 67% polyester and 33% cotton. It is specified for drapes only, with a 140cm width, a 1.5cm vertical repeat and a 6cm horizontal repeat, and a weight of 248gsm. The swatch reads as a muted taupe with a gentle heathered cast, where the weave creates a soft crosshatch-like texture and a low, matte finish. Its overall effect is balanced and restrained, making the colourway feel warm-neutral without tipping too brown or too grey.

How to use it

Use this shade for simple curtains, Roman blinds or layered window treatments where the soft taupe tone can settle into the room without stealing focus. It works especially well with pale plaster, oak and deeper charcoal accents.

A subtle, drapable neutral that layers easily with stone, linen and muted wood tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
