Waltham Mole

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1WALTHAM

Waltham Mole is a quietly sophisticated taupe with a fine, branched texture running across the surface. The overall effect is soft and earthy, with the pattern lifting the darker ground just enough to catch the light.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 1, Waltham Mole is a 100% polyester fabric designed for drapes only. The cloth is 140cm wide and has a substantial weight of 357 grams per linear metre, with a 255 grams per square metre construction. Visually, this colourway reads as a muted mole taupe with a dry, textured surface and a delicate, crackled linework pattern that gives the fabric movement without strong contrast. The 25cm vertical repeat and 24cm horizontal repeat support the softly layered woven appearance seen in the image, while the N/A rub test reflects its specified curtain use rather than upholstery wear.

How to use it

Use it for full-length curtains or relaxed Roman blinds where the warm taupe tone can soften larger rooms. It pairs well with pale plaster shades, smoked oak, and bronze accents for a calm, tailored finish.

A restrained taupe with a subtle crackled weave effect that suits tailored, understated schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
