About this fabric

Wilby Mole from Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 3 is specified as a drapes-only fabric, woven in 68% Recycle Polyester, 26% Cotton and 6% Polyester. The cloth has a small-scale textured surface that reads as densely peppered dots rather than a plain solid, giving the colour extra movement and softness. In this colourway the tone sits between warm grey and mole brown, with a gently mottled finish that catches light without looking shiny. At 140cm wide and 225gsm, it has enough body for elegant window dressing while remaining suited to a neat, tailored drape. The 22cm vertical and 24cm horizontal repeat also suggests a structured woven design rather than an irregular effect.

How to use it

Use it for full-length curtains, Roman blinds or layered sheers in rooms that need a calm, neutral anchor. Its mushroom warmth pairs especially well with natural timber, chalky paint finishes and deeper chocolate or charcoal accents.
