Wilby Caramel

Essential Weaves Vol 3 FabricEWV3WILBY

Wilby Caramel is a softly textured neutral with a warm oatmeal-beige cast and a fine, peppered weave visible across the surface. The tiny, even texture gives it a calm, understated look rather than a flat plain finish.

About this fabric

This Ashley Wilde fabric from Essential Weaves Vol 3 is composed of 68% recycled polyester, 26% cotton and 6% polyester, and it is specified for drapes only. The 140cm width and 315gsm weight point to a substantial curtain fabric with a pleasing body and drape. In this colourway, the caramel name reads as a muted beige with a gentle warm undertone, softened by the dense micro-texture. The small-scale woven effect catches the light subtly, giving the cloth a quiet depth without any strong contrast.

How to use it

Use this warm neutral for relaxed curtains in rooms with oak, chalk paint or pale stone, where its oatmeal tone can soften harder surfaces. It also works well as an unobtrusive backdrop for patterned cushions or textured rugs.

A warm, quietly textured neutral that layers easily with timber, linen and soft metallics.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
