Venice Flax

Monterey Collection FabricVENICE

Venice Flax shows a fine vertical stripe in a warm flax beige, with a softly tailored look and a calm, natural feel. The narrow white pinstripes give the surface a crisp rhythm without making it feel busy.

About this fabric

This colourway is built from 64% cotton and 36% polyester, and it is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes. The image shows a pale flax ground with closely spaced ivory pinstripes, creating a neat, understated stripe that reads more refined than rustic. At 40,000 rubs and 136cm wide, it has the practical weight and width needed for commercial seating as well as window treatment. The 528gsm construction gives the cloth a substantial hand, while the beige tone stays light and versatile rather than yellow or golden.

How to use it

Use Venice Flax where you want a pared-back stripe that still feels considered, such as smart banquettes, dining chairs, or full-length curtains. Its warm neutral tone works especially well with oak, chalky whites, and muted green accents.

A clean flax stripe that brings quiet texture to tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Venice Flax without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
