Chelton Sage shows a softly structured small-scale geometric pattern in a pale sage ground with creamy highlights. The woven squares and checks read calm and airy rather than bold.

About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2 collection, Chelton Sage is composed of 57% polyester and 43% cotton and is specified for drapes only. The fabric has a width of 140cm and a substantial 357 grams per linear metre, giving the weave enough body to hang neatly while still feeling textile-soft. Visually, the design blends misty sage with chalky off-white blocks, so the repeated square motif feels fresh, muted and lightly mottled rather than sharp or graphic. The 24cm vertical and 23cm horizontal repeats support the orderly grid effect seen in the image, with the small-scale pattern keeping the overall impression quiet and understated.

How to use it

Use this pale sage colourway for curtains in bedrooms, kitchens or garden-facing rooms where a gentle, cool green can sit alongside white paint and pale timber. Its low-contrast check effect is ideal when you want pattern, but only in a soft, breathable way.

A muted sage weave that softens rooms beautifully and works especially well for calm, layered window dressing.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
