About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2, Chelton Denim is a 140cm-wide fabric woven in 57% polyester and 43% cotton. The cloth has a clear small-scale geometric rhythm, with a 24cm vertical repeat and 23cm horizontal repeat, and the printed-looking squares and checks are softened by a slightly brushed, matte surface. The blue reads as a muted denim tone rather than a bright navy, giving the design a calm, lived-in character. At 255gsm and 357gsm per linear metre, it has enough body for structured drapes while still feeling textile-led and natural.

How to use it

Use this denim-blue check for relaxed curtains, Roman blinds or upholstered cushions where a cool, tailored pattern will sit neatly against pale paint and warm timber. It works especially well in rooms that need a fresh blue without the sharpness of a saturated stripe.
