Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2CHELTON

Chelton Seafoam has a fresh, muted seafoam tone with a softly weathered look across its small geometric grid. The pale ground and misty grey-green lines give it a calm, contemporary character.

About this fabric

This Ashley Wilde fabric is woven in a 57% polyester and 43% cotton blend, and it is specified for drapes only. The 140cm width and substantial 357 grams per linear metre give it a more substantial handle than a sheer, while the 255 grams per square metre weight supports a neat window drop. Visually, the design reads as a small-scale geometric of squares, checks and stripe intersections, with chalky off-white marks sitting inside a cool grey-green lattice. The 24cm vertical repeat and 23cm horizontal repeat suggest a regular, measured rhythm that suits a tailored scheme. The seafoam colourway feels light and airy rather than bright, with enough depth to keep the pattern visible from a distance.

How to use it

Use it for curtains in a coastal, Scandinavian or softly modern room where the cool seafoam tones can sit against bleached timber, pale oak or brushed chrome. It also works well as a calming counterpoint to warmer neutrals, especially when you want pattern without visual weight.

A cool seafoam grid that brings a calm, tailored feel to windows.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chelton Seafoam without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
