Eaton Amethyst
Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2EATON
Eaton Amethyst is a finely textured fabric with a soft lilac-grey cast and a quietly speckled surface. The close weave gives the colourway a calm, tailored look rather than a bright purple statement.

About this fabric
Woven in 100% polyester and designed for drapes only, Eaton Amethyst has a substantial handle at 350 grams per linear metre and a width of 140cm. The surface shows a tight, textural grid that reads as gently mottled from a distance, with small highlights lifting the amethyst tone into a cooler lilac shade. Its 27cm vertical repeat and 24cm horizontal repeat indicate a structured woven design rather than a plain cloth, while the 250gsm weight helps the fabric fall with body and presence. Made in India, this colourway feels smart and composed, with enough depth to work in both daylight and softer evening light.
How to use it
Use Eaton Amethyst for curtains, Roman blinds or layered window dressings where you want a muted purple note with a tailored finish. It pairs especially well with pale plaster, soft grey and warm wood for a balanced, contemporary room.
A refined lilac weave that adds colour without overpowering a room.

Pairs well with
Eaton Amethyst is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
