About this fabric

This colourway is a 100% polyester plain fabric specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, so it pairs a practical performance profile with a rich decorative look. At 145cm wide and 320gsm, it has the substantial handle expected of a fabric that can work across seating and window treatments, and the 40,000 rub test supports hard-use applications. Visually, the swatch shows a very dark aubergine with a wine-plum undertone, reading almost black in low light but revealing warmth where the nap catches the light. The finish appears smooth and closely woven, giving the shade a clean, uniform depth rather than a flat purple cast.

How to use it

Use Omari Aubergine to anchor upholstery in a dining chair, sofa or banquette, then echo its saturated tone in velvet cushions or darker timber finishes. It also makes a dramatic curtain colour, especially where the plum undertone can warm up grey, stone or brass-accented interiors.
